  • Are an internet connection and GPS required?

    Messages will be updated during an active data connection. The approximate location can also be determined during a data connection without GPS. Warnings of the red category will also be sent by SMS (mobile phone connection is necessary).

  • Can the real-time tracking function be disabled?

    As part of the settings all services (real-time tracking, news, warnings) can be deactivated with just one click.

  • Are the displayed warnings limited to the current position?

    No, the country setting can be adjusted manually for each information page.

  • What is the meaning of the colors green, yellow and red?

    Green announcements inform about general events, yellow warnings represent a negative influence for everyday life. Critical events, which require a reaction, are marked red.

  • With whom can the present position be shared?

    All of the personal contacts who also have installed and activated the app, can be enabled by the user. The contact also needs to approve this action.

  • What are the preconditions for the successful installation of the app?

    For the successful installation of the app on your mobile phone the following preconditions must be fulfilled:

    - active data connection,

    - enabled SMS service and

    - Android version of minimum 4.1 or

    - Apple version of minimum iOS 8.0.

  • How will the app be enabled?

    MY-SAFETY-ASSISTANT is available for Android systems at the Google Play Store or for iOS devices via Apple iTunes. After the download and the successful login, the app will be enabled for 365 days. A detailed manual of the installation process is available for both Android and iOS devices.

  • How do I get a password?

    The app is available for Dr. Walter customers worldwide. Please visit https://www.my-safety-assistant.com/msa-codes and generate your individual password with just a few clicks. A detailed manual of the installation process is available for both Android and iOS devices.

  • How do I enter the password?

    Enter the 12-digit code as it is most convenient for you. You don`t have to pay attention to small and capital letters, spaces and dashes.

  • For how long is the password valid?

    After login you can use MY-SAFETY-ASSISTANT for one year free of charge.

  • What to do when receiving an error message during the login process?

    Please try to enter the code once more and check your e-mail address for possible spelling errors. If your own troubleshooting does not show any result, please send us an email.

  • What do I do, when the year has finished and I would like to keep using MY-SAFETY-ASSISTANT?

    You can generate a new code with just a few clicks. All you need to do is fill in our request form and press 'submit'. You will immediately receive your password as well as a confirmation by email.

  • Which customers of Dr. Walter can use the app?

    The app is available for all Dr. Walter customers worldwide. For licensing reasons we cannot provide the app to customers who come from Denmark, Sweden or Norway.
